Paul — Owner at LJ Refrigeration

As a third-generation owner in the family HVAC business, Paul brings nearly 30 years of hands-on experience to the company. He grew up in the trade and still enjoys getting his hands dirty in the field, making sure every job is done right. Paul's deep knowledge, strong work ethic, and commitment to customer satisfaction are at the heart of the business. When he's not working, you'll find Paul spending time with his two dogs, vacationing with his wife, or exploring the outdoors. He's also a die-hard football fan — Go Cardinals!

Jennifer — Owner at LJ Refrigeration

Jennifer

Jennifer has been a driving force behind the scenes for nearly 30 years, keeping the office — and the business — running smoothly. Known affectionately as the “Paperwork Princess,” she handles everything from scheduling to logistics with precision and care. Jennifer also loves the chance to step out of the office to deliver parts or equipment, giving her the opportunity to meet the customers she's gotten to know so well over the phone. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys traveling, discovering great local restaurants, and spending time in her happy place — Sedona.

Lauren is likely the first voice you'll hear when you call — she handles scheduling and dispatching with a friendly and efficient touch. Behind the scenes, she's busy processing warranties, registering equipment, managing our financing department, and jumping in wherever she's needed to keep things running smoothly. Outside of work, Lauren is a proud and busy mom to two energetic little boys. When she finds a spare moment, she enjoys working out and getting lost in a good book.

Jason — Service Manager at LJ Refrigeration

Jason has been a vital part of our team for nearly 10 years, bringing skill, efficiency, and a strong work ethic to everything he does. As our Service Manager, he leads the team with a calm, knowledgeable presence and ensures that every service call is handled with the highest level of care and professionalism. Whether he's troubleshooting in the field or mentoring newer techs, Jason sets the standard for quality and reliability. After working through Arizona's long, hot summers, he looks forward to vacationing with his wife. When he's home, you'll usually find him working on a new DIY project — he's just as handy off the clock as he is on it.

Jace may be the newest member of our team, but he's already made a big impact. With a great skill set, strong work ethic, and a friendly, personable attitude, he's quickly become an asset to the company. Always eager to learn and willing to put in the long hours, Jace continues to grow and improve every day. Outside of work, Jace enjoys gaming and spending time with his family.

Lyle & Karyl Engbarth

Founders. Started the company in Minnesota selling and repairing heaters, and set the standard everything since has been measured against.

Gen 2

Jeff Engbarth

The founders' son expanded the business and helped make LJ Refrigeration the trusted name in Valley heating and cooling after the family's 1981 move to Arizona.

Paul & Jennifer Coen

Today's owners carry the family standard into its seventh decade — same-day service, no upselling, and a handshake that still means something.
