Is UV light harmful?
UV light itself can be harmful to skin and eyes with direct, unprotected exposure, but UV air purifiers installed in HVAC systems are engineered to be safe for a home. The germicidal bulb sits sealed inside the ductwork, away from any direct line of sight or contact, so occupants are never exposed to the UV energy while it's doing its job.
