What is air purification?
Air purification is the process of removing contaminants — dust, allergens, bacteria, mold spores, and odors — from the air circulating through your home. It's typically achieved through filtration, ultraviolet (UV) light treatment, or a combination of both, working alongside your existing HVAC system rather than replacing it.
How purification differs from basic filtration
A standard HVAC filter is a form of purification, but the term usually refers to added equipment that goes beyond what a stock filter can do — things like UV lights that neutralize biological contaminants, or higher-grade filtration that captures much smaller particles. These systems are installed directly into your ductwork so treated air reaches every room the HVAC system serves.
