The LJ Preferred Care Program is a preventive care membership designed to help homeowners take the stress out of maintaining their HVAC systems, reduce unexpected breakdowns, and receive priority service during peak seasons.LJ Refrigeration's story began in the cold winters of Minnesota when Lyle and Karyl Engbarth founded the company, selling and repairing heaters. Seeking new opportunities, they relocated to Arizona, where their son, Jeff Engbarth, joined the business and helped expand its reach. Over time, the company grew into a trusted name in heating and cooling, earning a reputation for excellence and integrity.
This program focuses on scheduled maintenance, convenience, and long-term system care — not sales or pressure.

What’s Not Included
The Preferred Care Program does not include:
Any recommended repairs or replacements will always be presented as options, not requirements. Our role is to inform you — the decisions are always yours.
Service Call Clarification
Preferred Care members do not pay after-hours or overtime fees.
If service is needed, the standard service call charge applies — the same as during normal business hours.
